Takafumi Otsuka is a member of the Japan Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has over 22 years industry experience. He spent 7 years with Chuo Aoyama Audit Corporation, a former member firm of the PwC global network, auditing and consulting for companies in a wide range of industries. Takafumi is also experienced in providing audit services for Japanese subsidiaries of many global companies, especially those registered with the SEC.
He also spent 12 years with RSM Seiwa, serving as audit partner for various listed company engagements, heading various consulting projects such as business reconstruction, financial reporting, and internal control and having an experience with working in Hong Kong to promote and advance Japanese business.
He established an audit firm named Shisai Audit and led it as Managing Partner, growing to around 50 staff and 40 audit/consulting clients in 4 years.
In July 2023, he joined Mazars to enhance its business with his experience that he has built up being involved in audit industry.
